tayla

Rebecca bought Tayla over today, and oh my gosh is she gorgeous!
She is so so tiny and smells like new baby! Her hand is still all wrinkly, nawwwww!
She decided to finally open her eyes around us!

Be jealous of my nieces!

journals and k bars

I'm an advertisers dream, I have a terrible habit of buying everything related to my latest obsession.
Hence the arrival this morning of Twilight journals! I'll be honest- I'm not actually going to write in them, but they looked too good not to buy.
I really should not be allowed a credit card, me and it are an awful combination!
Also I'm addicted to K Bars so if you buy me a life time supply of them I'll buy you a pony! (or at least a My Little Pony)

baking

Me and Charli have baking down to a fine science:
I measure and weigh out the ingredients
She gracefully chucks them into the bowl,
does the best mixing you can expect from a three year old,
runs off to play whilst I mix it properly,
comes pack to watch me prepare it for the baking
and returns to marvel at the baked delights as they emerge from the oven
Since we're such pros at this we tackled some recipes from this book in the weekend
We made snickerdoodles (mainly because they have a cool name) and I'll assume they turned out right since I having nothing to go by for this judging. And a chocolate loaf cake, which tastes way better than it looks! Char was pleased with our final creations! And has on the cutest onsie, I wish you could get onsies with feet for adults here!

disneyland and disneyworld

I'm fairly pathetic and really have no life so I have begun planning an epic trip, ignore the fact I'm planning of taking this trip in the beginning of 2011....
Since I'm a massive Disney fan and have apparently never grown up, this trip is going to revolve around Disneyland and Disney World!
I want to go Disneyland first! And want to stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel (since I find it a requirement to be the ultimate tourist, I insist on staying at Disney hotels).
I want to stay here for 8 days and spend at least 5 days at Disneyland. Then will go off to Orlando for Disney World!!!
(never been there so yay!)
And to continue on with my touristy spree I want to stay at the Port Orleans Resort!
I also want to be here for 8 days, with at least 5 spent at Disney World!Font size

I will now have over a year to create the bestest ever list of places I want to go in both places and pen a reminder of all the random American things I want to try and buy!

Anyone want to come with me?!?!

modcloth

I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to ModCloth!
If the postage to NZ wasn't like a million dollars I'd be buying soooooo much from there.
At the moment I'm totally in love with this bag!
Anything with gold makes me smile. This dress is so so pretty, but I'm not in love with its neckline *sad face* If it wasn't almost summer (even though in Dunedin that really means nothing) I'd be buying this jacket in a second.
Multiple buttons also make me smile.
So until shipping doesn't cost the same price as the item I'll just stare at these pictures and dream!

make or break

Since I have such epic sewing skills *cough* I'm going to try and make a dress for someone over the age of three.
I originally went to Spotlight with plans of buying Simplicity 2591 but whilst rummaging through the book found 2579 and decided it was a better choice! This material is way pretty in person than how the photo portrays it, honest!
It's a proper green not the weird pastel green that it appears to be.

Now I've never actually sewed anything using a pattern so this is going to be a wee bit of an experiment, but my theory is since I could sew bags and what not when I was 11, I should be able to do this (emphasis on the should).

If this project ends up a success I want to try either 2497 or 2951.

Wish me luck and I'll let you know how it ends up!

dorothy the dinosaur

Because I'm cooler than Gran'ma (according to Charli) I ended up being the one taking Charli to the Dorothy The Dinosaur show yesterday.
Now I personally didn't find it the most riveting couple of hours in my life but Charli thoroughly enjoyed it.

We entertained ourselves before the show by taking some photos!
Charli gathered up the courage to go dance up in front of the stage and waved to the fake Captain Feathersword! The fake, Wags the Dog and Don the Postman (who is in some stylish sequined pants)The fake, fairies, and Henry the Octopus. I want an umbrella like theirs! For a show called Dorothy the Dinosaur, she didn't appear on stage as much as you would expect!
But at least she's wearing a pretty tutu! One of the final numbers. Dorothy, the fake and Don saying good bye!Thankfully it wasn't as torturous as one would expect from a side show of The Wiggles and it made Charli happy.

new moon

The past two days have been epically epic New Moon days!
Yesterday my New Moon calender arrived, total coolness in calender form *happiness*.
Then today I got up early and bought tickets for the New Moon premiere at midnight on 19th November, plus a screening of Twilight beforehand, and the movie companion. I haven't read it yet but I've flipped through it and looked at the photos, I'm officially really really really excited for it now. It looks cooler than Antarctica (cheesy much?!)
Only 6 weeks minus a few hours away!
(yes I'm that cool that I'm going to count down)
