miss me?

I think it's fair to say I'm not really cut out for the whole blogging thing, I'm far too forgetful and lazy!

But in my absence I have been planning big things, my wanted trip to Disneyland and Disney World has now been booked and has become slightly bigger than originally planned.

It will start with a ridiculously long flight to Los Angeles where me and Anna will go straight to Disney's Paradise Pier for 6 nights and 5 full days of Disneyland happiness! *happy dance*

Then to add on to our Californian stay we'll be in Hollywood for 7 nights to do all the cheesy tourist things and shop up a storm (and probably get uber lost).Orlando is our next stop with Disney World being a key feature! *more happy dancing*

We'll be staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside for the whole time and making day trips out to Universal Studios and Sea World. So stoaked to see the Harry Potter rides and beluga whales! At this stage Anna will be leaving me to come back home for university =( and I'll be going to stay with my Mummy's friend Denita in Jacksonville, North Carolina, she has tonnes of stuff planned for me to do there cause I really don't know of anything to do there except for going to Wilmington because I'm One Tree Hill obsessed and want to see all the places from it!Then because I'm a nerd Denita is me driving to Atlanta so I can go to Georgia Aquarium to see whale sharks and more beluga whales, yayness!!! I'll be flying back to Orlando after this and staying with Denita's parents to see all the things I didn't have time to see with Anna and kinda just chillax a bit before going onto San Francisco.
I'll be all on my lonesome there but I'll try and be a big kid and spend a week on my own.

Now I just need June to hurry up, so exciting, me and Anna will be the crazy New Zealanders running around and screaming about everything. Can't wait!

If anyone has any suggestions of things to do or see, I'd love to hear them!

So I need to buy some new photo frames and get some photos printed but lack the ability to drive so anyone with a teleporter they're willing to lend me would be much appreciated!

Recently Dunedin seems to be the centre for rain, and by rain I mean RAIN. Like seriously enough with the flooding!

Areas that are normally paddocks have become lakes, streets now have ponds and it's just dark all the time. So weather pretty pretty please go somewhere else, I really do not like you and want to kick you in the face!

I miss days like these where I could just go out and take photos and not drown and/or freeze!

My work is in this photo, I'll give you a dollar if you can find it!

colourfulness

Since I'm a creature of habit every Tuesday, after class and before I have to return to work, me and Anna have our routine lunch at Modaks of vegan fries with two aiolis and two iced coffees, so you can imagine our horror when Modaks informed us they had, wait for it.............run out of fries! (they seriously have the worlds best fries and aioli you could ever imagine)

So to put a real spanner in our day we had to go to Alchemy instead (mainly because it's only a few doors down and we can get the exact same meal there)They kinda made up for it though by serving the aioli in the cutest little dish, having oh so pretty iced coffees with MASSIVE straws,having an extremely colourful interior and adorable little sugar packets!

But then lost some points for having deep fried ice cream on the menu (seriously what the frick?!?!)

While I'm on the subject of extremely healthy goodness, look at my candy jar full of Skittles, bliss!

the icing on the top of the cake

I've never actually had a red velvet cake the wasn't made by me (and I don't know if I actually can here) but since they've all tasted the same, even using different recipes, I'll assume I've got the basis of them down.

But this is my first one which succeeds in the red part of red velvet cake (thank you gel colouring) And yes I know I still haven't mastered the whole frosting thing!

But I'm trying....... promise!On an uber uber uber cool note, I'm am the proud new owner of the coolest beanie ever in the existence the coolest beanies in the whole entire beanie universe.Jealous much?!?!

I have returned.......again, but this time I bring cupcakes!

My Wilton Dessert Decorator arrived, giving me the perfect excuse to make the bestest ever Banana Cupcakes with Honey-Cinnamon Frosting! Since decorating is normally my biggest let down when it comes to baking, this genius piece machinery has revolutionised these cupcakes.

But something even more super exciting also arrived last week!!!

My Diana F+ Deluxe Kit!!! Oh how I L O V E it,but oh how it confused me!

I think I now have some more understanding of it, but I have a feeling I'm going to go through a few rolls of film just practicing with each combination of lenses, flashes and settings.

So I apparently can't manage to do stuff (eg this blog) while having a full time job but since today is Friday I can finally update it, yay!!!

But working has also made me fairly boring so I don't actually have much to post about except for my not so new love of Logan Neitzel from Project Runway season 6.
