I've never actually had a red velvet cake the wasn't made by me (and I don't know if I actually can here) but since they've all tasted the same, even using different recipes, I'll assume I've got the basis of them down.
But this is my first one which succeeds in the red part of red velvet cake (thank you gel colouring) And yes I know I still haven't mastered the whole frosting thing!
